I'm Conrad, a current undergraduate studying Computer Science at Ulster University aiming to become a Software Engineer.
I've always had an interest in computing from a young age, sparked by a love for gaming with Minecraft
and a deep-seated curiosity inherited from generations of engineers in my family. My grandfather, a retired telecommunications engineer,
captivated me with tales of his work on analogue systems and digital advancements. My father, a production engineer,
further fuelled my interest as I observed his use of CAD in various projects. These influences, combined with my passion for gaming,
naturally led me to explore coding and software development. But when I first learned to write code and see it run, I knew this was a hobby I needed to turn into a career.
At school, I honed my skills in studing ICT and Games Development in A-level, learning HTML & CSS, these subjects server as an indroduction to a career in Software engineering.
Moving to Derry for my Degree was a big change, and doing computer science taught me a lot about computing in lectures and life outside it.
Now in my second year, I am now looking and readying myself for an industrial placement so I can further myself in the tech industry process and lead toward gaining my degree and achieving my dream of becoming a Software engineer.
